AI Visibility Guide · Before your first scan
The right questions come first.
A practical starting point for B2B SaaS teams: choose the scope of your analysis, write purchase-oriented questions and decide which decision your analysis should support.
01 · Foundations
Visibility depends on context.
AI Visibility considers whether and how a brand appears in AI answers. A scan examines a defined selection of questions and models. It does not represent every possible conversation.
Explore terms and metrics- Mention, context, source
- Distinguish three observations: is the company mentioned? Does its description fit the question? Does the answer reference your own page or an external one?
- Understand SEO, AEO and GEO
- SEO focuses on discoverability in search engines, AEO on presenting answers and GEO on presence in generative answers. Treat these terms as different perspectives on the same content.
02 · Analysis scope
One audience. One specific decision.
Start with a manageable topic, such as choosing a CRM for a small sales team. Document the scope before writing individual questions.
- Offering and market
- Which website, product category and region are you examining? Describe the offering in the terms potential customers use.
- Audience and needs
- Who makes the decision, what task needs to be solved and which requirements determine the purchase? Use familiar customer questions as your starting point.
- Comparison and target pages
- Choose relevant alternatives and the pages that explain your offering. In the Pro Scan, you can select competitors and content URLs yourself.
03 · Prompt selection
From a broad need to a specific choice.
Cover different decision situations. Use the examples as writing aids, adapting the category, audience and requirements to your offering.
Filter and copy example prompts- Explore the category
- Which CRM solutions suit a small B2B sales team?
- Check a requirement
- Which CRM solutions combine quote tracking with Microsoft 365 integration?
- Compare alternatives
- How do Vendor A and Vendor B differ in implementation, integrations and pricing model?
04 · Insight or Pro Scan
Start with an initial signal or make a focused comparison.
Both options provide online results. Choose the scope based on how precisely you want to define the analysis yourself.
Compare features and prices- Transparion Insight · Free
- For an initial assessment: automatically derived questions with ChatGPT, competitors, sources and initial recommendations. A content URL is optional. You receive an email link and do not need an account.
- Transparion Pro Scan · Configurable
- For your own questions: 10–30 prompts, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, a market and target audience, up to four competitors and five content URLs. Your account supports detailed briefs, technical SEO checks, saved sets, scheduling and exports.
05 · A verifiable foundation
What to check on your website.
Combine clear product information with verifiable evidence and a technically accessible website. Investigate the specific gap before commissioning new content.
Explore technical foundations in the blog- Clear answers
- Does the relevant page explain early on who your offering suits, what task it solves and where its limits lie? Do claims about pricing, features and integrations match the current documentation?
- Verifiable sources
- Can claims be checked against your current documentation or independent sources? Distinguish recurring websites from individual URLs; frequent citations do not establish general authority.
- Technical accessibility
- Have availability, indexability, internal links and visible content reviewed. The AEO page assessment and technical SEO findings answer different questions and should be read together.
06 · From scan to decision
Decide the next step before measuring.
Decide who will review the report and take on the first task. The analysis supports the decision; expert review and publication remain with your team.
Open the instructions for your report- Review content and evidence
- Prepare current product information, integration documentation and verifiable evidence of capabilities. Use these to check notable statements in the report.
- Make changes traceable
- Document the baseline, target URL, task and measurement configuration. In a follow-up measurement, this lets you review answers alongside completed work without jumping to causal conclusions.
Common questions
Useful to know before you continue.
Do I need to update my entire website first?
No. Choose a relevant buyer question and a suitable target page. Review the finding before expanding the scope. Insight can provide an initial signal.
Can I reuse the same questions?
Yes. In the Pro area, you can save prompt sets and reuse them in further analyses. Running a Pro Scan requires 10–30 questions.
Where can I explore methods in more detail?
The AI Visibility pages explain the foundations, relevance and models. The prompt library offers adaptable examples. The blog contains German-language articles with sources; the instructions help you interpret your results.
